Business Development Supervisor

We are looking to add a Business Development Supervisor to drive our lead generation efforts through the hiring, training, coaching and supervision of those in the department. Personal participation in the lead generation efforts will also be fundamental to the position and candidates must be proficient in making outbound sales calls, developing sales scripts as well as working with related lead generation tools. Of most importance will be the ability to replicate your skills within those you direct.

General Requirements:

  • 2-5+ years proven experience in lead generation, business development or inside sales functions with marketing related products or B2B services preferred
  • Proven ability to develop a team and replicate critical skills
  • Prior experience in the hiring, training, coaching and systems implementation within a Business Development capacity
  • Strong phone presence and experience making high volume calls
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Responsibilities:

  • Staff recruiting using common job sites such as Indeed, along with candidate screening, interviewing and offer presentation
  • The ability to learn and understand the markets within which Spectrum operates and develop appropriate scripts and training to handle objections and progress the lead generation process
  • Ability to coach staff towards higher levels of proficiency in their lead generation functions with a focus on measurable results
  • Personally participate in sourcing new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls, email and LinkedIn outreach as time permits
  • Work with sales and marketing management and staff to align lead generation and business development efforts towards key categories and develop appropriate strategies
  • Coordinate with CRM Administrator and those in Sales Operations capacity to ensure support systems are optimized for the business development process.
